LAGOS – THE Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre NAFRC Oshodi Lagos is in deep mourning as a Corporal attached to the Center Wednesday, crushed an Army General to death.
Sources said the soldier identified as Ebun Abayoni who was visibly heavily drunk reportedly drove rounded the center menacingly during which Brigadier General A.O James was knocked down. The late Brig. was said to be the Director of finance of the Center.

According to reports, immediately after the incident, the senior officer, Gen OA James, was swiftly evacuated to the NAFRC Medical Centre, where doctors at the Centre confirmed him dead. Gen. James, it was gathered, was said to be walking to his house within the Barracks when the corporal soldier’s car hit him from behind.
Said a source, “At about 152230A Nov 22, Brig Gen OA James, the Director of Finance NAFRC was knocked down by a vehicle driven by 04NA/98/397 CPL ABAYOMI EBUN of NARC Abuja. The soldier who resides at Block P, Old Barracks NAFRC was on pass and driving recklessly inside the barracks as he was said to be drunk.
The senior officer was walking to his residence inside the Barracks when he was hit and knocked down by the soldier. The senior officer was rushed to NAFRC Med Center where he was confirmed dead. The soldier have been detained with NAFRC Prov for further investigation.”
