CrimeWorld magazine online reports that the event themed “opening up the cities for sustainable real estate investment” was handled by investment coach and CEO of Fordax Training Academy in FCT , Dr. Stephen Michael. He urged investors to always put their money and time into sustainable projects and investment.
He noted that real estate sector in Nigeria was still fresh and unharvested, urging Nigerians to grab the opportunity first and not allow foreigners to discover it

President of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), high chief Christopher Isiguzo was quoted as commending the convener, Mr. Odita Sunday for championing conversations around real estate sector, urging him to carry journalists along in the project with a view of taking advantage of investment opportunities in the sector.
While noting that the property sector is the new oil, Isiguzo also said that the sector is open for both rich and poor to start investing.
The convener, Sunday, noted that it was high time journalists commenced a conversation around the real estate industry stressing that the industry has the capacity to change the fortunes of Nigeria.
Odita added, “Real estate sector contributes over 70percent in UK’s GDP, but in Nigeria, the sector contributes less than 8percent to nation’s GDP.
The ceremony which was first of it’s kind in the anals of the country witnessed some deserving realtors being honoured with awards for their inimitable leadership quality in the sector.

Notable among the awardees were the CEO of RemaxRealtor, Mrs Funke Adesoji, CEO of Korlie Mobs Ventures Ltd, Col. Kolawole Shaw, Hajia Haidara Rayaanatu.
