LAGOS Police Command in conjunction with the Nigerian Postal Service NIPOST say a new crime fighting strategy was being harnessed with a view to evolving a peaceful socio-economic environment. This was made know Wednesday September 6, 2020 when the Zonal Manager of the indigenous telecom giant of the Lagos Zone, Dr Mike Umo paid the Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu a courtesy visit in his office.The CP who assured that he had emplaced all the necessary security architecture on motion to effect holistic security of life and property in the state said, the Command under his watch was much more poised to serving the good people of Lagos as well as provide adequate security for the 13 districts of the telecom industry. The Zonal NIPOST manager was accompanied by his team which included, the Deputy Zonal Manager, Corporate Communications, Mrs. Bolanle Ekeogu. Reacting on behalf of her boss, Mrs. Ekeogu introduced NIPOST’s plans and facilities that will assist Police in intelligence gathering and crime fighting within and beyond the state. Though details of the plans were not made known to newsmen, sources at the meeting said the new modules were in the best interest of both the Police and the civil populace.
