POLICE Operatives attached to Ogun State Command have arrested a witchdoctor, Isiaka Ogunkoya for allegedly killing a power seeking Pastor for ritual purpose. The 48 year old native doctor told bewildered Policemen that he was in dire need of human parts for a particular concoction and so when the Pastor identified as Kalejaiye Ezekiel came to him for power so his church could grow, he saw it an opportunity to use him. Explaining how he successfully killed the Pastor and severed needed part for his concoction, the native doctor said, he mixed some sleeping solution for the pastor to drink adding that he slept off moments afterward and he picked his knife and slaughtered him. He said, “I am a native doctor and I have helped so many people including pastors who want their congregation to grow in the area. But this particular incident happened because I personally needed human parts for a particular concoction that I wanted to prepare for one of my clients in Isoyin. When the Pastor came that he wants power so that his congregation could grow, I saw it as an opportunity to kill him and use the needed parts for the concoction. I gave him some solution to drink and he fell deeply asleep and that afforded me the time to slaughter him and cut out the parts I needed for my concoction. I know I have done wrong, but I want forgiveness because if you go around and ask about me, people will tell you that I am a good person; this one just happened the way it did.”
No matter the defence of the witchdoctor, the Police public relations officer DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said the native doctor who was arrested by men on routine stop and search duty along Isoyin road would be seriously profiled with a view to knowing how many people he may have killed in the same manner stressing that at the end of investigation he would be charged to court for murder.
