DCP Mohammed Alli
DCP Ops
DEPUTY Commissioner of Police DCP Alli Mohammed is the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations DCP Ops, Lagos State Police Command. An indispensible officer and brutal crime fighter, DCP Alli oversees the day to day situation report of the activities of Police officers and men of the Command. Though, not much is known about his academic background and trainings (national and international) acquired on the job, this averagely built dark complexioned officer is a distinct phenomenon in crime detection and prevention. Dubbed the De facto CP, Alli is a quiet and easy going officer who started his policing career fresh from Police Academy Kano, in Delta State Command as Cadet ASP. But he didn’t become noticeable in the history book until he was deployed to Lagos State Command as the Divisional Police Officer DPO Apapa Division. Before then, he was DPO Denton Division Ebute-metta Lagos. Apapa, the nucleus of commercial activities in Lagos State at the time, was notorious for high level incidence of crimes and criminality. It was common knowledge that broad daylight armed robbery; brazen snatching of cars and bags, bank robbers who stalk their victims to the bank and later attacked them reigned supreme. But CSP Alli (as he was then) brought his crime fighting prowess and doggedness to bare, using all his breathes to ensure that sanity reigned in seat of commerce in the state. His sterling record in bursting heinous crimes prompted his elevation to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP and was deployed to the same Apapa as ‘Area B’ Commander. Again, while at Apapa, the terror reign of the One Million Boys and the notoriety of trans-border armed robbers who saw Apapa as a veritable ground to perpetrate their trade were liquidated. He was later deployed to ‘Area C’ Command Headquarters where he also excelled in leaps and bounds before he was moved to Police College Jos. At Jos, the Police high Command observed that it was not fitting to have ACP Alli Mohammed who was one of the cardinal figures that emplaced peace and tranquillity in Lagos State, a state that stands distinct for its volatile and restiveness confined in a college and therefore, resolved to have him elevated to the rank of DCP and redeployed back to Lagos. The immediate past CP Lagos, Mr. Edgal Imohimi under who DCP Alli Mohammed served, once remarked that the success recorded and accolades poured on the Police under his watch could not have been possible without the diligence and dedication of “My able and tireless DCP Ops, officers and men of the Command, to them I owe all the gratitude”.
DCP Olatunji Disu
Commander, Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos State
QUIET, easy going, calculated and ever focused; friendly with folks but dangerous with enemies of society, Deputy Commissioner of Police DCP Olatunji Disu is a quintessence of an officer and a gentleman. The palpable peace and serene atmosphere enjoyed in Lagos state dubbed commercial nerve center of the country is attributable to the diligence and commitment to duty of ‘TJ’ (as fondly called by his acquaintances) and his team of ubiquitous officers and men attached to the Rapid Response Squad RRS. Little wonder, this indefatigable officer who grins even in the face of provocation is loved by all including his bosses. Born in Lagos Island (Isale Eko) ‘TJ’ had his post-primary education at Mayflower Junior School, Ikenne, Ogun State; attended Pobuna Secondary Grammar School, Epe; and Saint Gregory’s College, Lagos. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English (Education) at the Lagos State University; post Graduate Diploma in International Relations and Strategic Studies from the same university. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Forensic Investigation & Criminal Intelligence from the University of Lagos; a Certificate in Personal Protection in the United Kingdom and a Masters Degree in Public Administrations at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Ondo State.
He graduated from the Nigeria Police Academy in 1992 and was first posted to Sango Otta Police Station, Ogun State and later deployed to Satellite Police Station, Agboju Lagos. His unrivaled conquest at the Satellite Division resulted in his deployed as Officer-in-Charge, Anti-Fraud, State CID Kaduna where he unveiled his prowess in investigation. He was later redeployed to Ago-Iwoye Ogun State as Divisional Police Officer (DPO) where hs also excelled in spell and bounds before being deployed again to the Northern Nigeria as Directing Staff, the Nigerian Police Academy, Kano.
In 2005, he led the Nigerian Police contingent on African Union Mission in Sudan (AMIS) to quell the crisis in Darfur, Sudan. Deployed as Officer-in-Charge of Training at the Nigerian Police Peace-Keeping Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja; deployed to Ikare, Ondo State, as Divisional Police Officer; and to Owo as DPO. Deployed as O/C of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Ondo State; later as SARS Coordinator for Ibadan and Oyo.
From the South-western Nigeria, ‘TJ’ was moved to the South-south in the very restive Rivers State where he served in various capacities including as DPO in Elimbu Local Government and later to Elelenwo Local Government; O/C Anti-Robbery (SARS) and Anti-Kidnapping Squads in the same River State; Assistant Commissioner of Police ACP, Criminal Investigating Department (CID), Rivers State before being moved back to the South-west as Commander, Rapid Response Squad RRS Lagos.
Aside his formal education, DCP Olatunji Disu also attended many Police trainings, some of which include Small Arms Smuggling in Botswana, Internet Fraud in Cambridge University, United Kingdom, amongst others. A black-belter in Judo with many medals, ‘TJ’ is currently the National Chairman of the Nigerian Police Judo Association and a distinguished member of the Lagos Island Club; and a devout Muslim. He is happily married with children.
ACP Akinbayo Olasunkanmi Aremu Olasoji
‘Area F’ Commander
ONE undeniable fact that has continually worked for ACP Akinbayo Olasunkanmi Aremu Olasoji, the Area Commander, ‘Area F’ Command Headquarters Ikeja Lagos, is his impeccable character imbued in the fear of God. A distinct officer of international repute, whose intrepidness and tenacity of purpose has endeared him to his employer, a whole lot of Nigerians and foreigners alike; ACP Soji learned the virtues of life early enough from a God fearing mother who believes in upholding tenaciously, the tenets of a true Christian which doctrine is center around faith in God, work hard, prudency, integrity and
beliefs in miracles of God. Little wonder, unlike some of his colleagues in the Force, ACP Soji was able to turn down a soul tempting-whopping N26million bribe from some questionable characters who wanted him quash their crimes. To many, this sounds fictitious. But close to this officer know that that singular act earned him his promotion to the rank of ACP. Suffice to say that his numerous trainings and expeditions within and beyond the shores of Nigeria sharpened his appetite to make an impact
in the country’s security sector. It is on record that he has attended the international humanitarian law of armed conflict, Global terrorism and conflict resolution course, United Nations Institute for Training
and Research, New York, US, Anti-riot Mobile training Gworza, Bornu State, Nigeria Police College Ikeja Lagos State, Citizenship and Leadership Center, Shere Hills Plateau State and Member, Investigation into the Presidential Committee on Verification and Reconciliation of Fuel Subsidy Payment Report. This is beside his peace keeping operation in Kosovo (Organized Crime Unit) Crack investigation in Togo, Ghana, and Benin Republic; participation in the formation of the West African Police Chief Committee, Financial Crime/Tax Fraud Investigation Technique by FBI, USA, as a Special Agent in investigation of fraud technique and playing a distinct role in the organization and hosting of West African Ministers of Interior and Security meeting, Abuja Nigeria; among several others. As an astute Police officer with honour and style, his senses of sacrifice for humanity are built on safety, peaceful coexistence and national development. No wonder he is admired and liked by many serving and retired IGPs, DIGs and other top echelon in the Force who he sees as role models.
Born October 27, 1968 in Lagos Island Lagos State to a middle class family bonded by two tribes, a Yoruba father and an Igbo mother, ACP Soji is a proud holder of a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Economic Education from the Lagos State University LASU in 1998, M.Sc Economic from Ekiti
State University Ado Ekiti in 2017. Fired by the passion to play leadership role in national development
and his beliefs in the virtues of hard work, love and sacrifice for humanity, ACP Soji has impacted tremendously and positively to the national security and economic development of the country. Indeed, his crime fighting strategy in ensuring human security and multiple landmark cases he has investigated speak for itself. This is evident in his posting and deployment from 1989 to 2017; starting from
Ijebu-Ijesha Police Division, Osun State, Airport Command, Sabo Yaba Division, Lagos State, NCB Interpol Alagbon close Ikoyi Lagos, Interpol Abuja, Police staff College Jos, Ogui-Enugu Division, IGP
Monitoring Abuja, UN Mission in Pristine, Kosovo, Aide De Camp, Ekiti State Command, Team Leader IGP Monitoring Unit Abuja, Team Leader, FCIB Alagbon, O/C SCIID Ilorin Kwara State, Team Leader Zone 2 Command Onikan Lagos, Divisional Police Officer DPO Ikeja, ‘Area D’ Commander Mushin and now ‘Area F’ Commander Ikeja Lagos. The knack for professionalism and resoluteness resulted in the raid of hitherto dreaded Akala Street, Idio-Oro, Olosa and other drug havens in Mushin community. Before his deployment to ‘Area D’, Akala was a no-go spot for successive Area Commanders as Policemen were constantly attacked and sometimes killed in any attempt to venture into the
Street; but ACP Soji demystified the mystery upon assumption of office. Today peace and serenity has been restored in Mushin as a whole. On May 22, 2017, he arrested a mole in the Police who usually helps armed robbers get Police report for gunshot treatment and the medical Doctor too treating the robbery suspects. On January 10, 2019, he intercepted a 40ft container laden with fake drugs along the Oshodi-Apapa expressway on its way to Onitsha and handed the suspects including a Police man escorting the container and the drugs to NAFDAC for prosecution; having turned down a N2m bribe. The drugs were said to be worth N30million. It is worthy of note that the same container had been arrested by another unit of the Police but released in a questionable circumstance before ACP Soji got the hint and traced the
container of the killer drugs to Oshodi where he arrested it. On February 10, 2019, he raided the popular Ojuoye market in Mushin where fake wines were brewed and arrested one Emmanuel Njoku, the brain
behind the fake brew. And on February 2, 2019, one Ikwameze Nnamdi and three others who specialized in printing Total Oil stickers and adulterate the automobile product were traced and arrested in an
operation he led. Perhaps, a major landmark achievement while holding sway as Area Commander, Mushin was the arrest of an intractable and very notorious armed robber named Segun Kazeem, aka ‘Water’ and his sidekick, known as ‘No Salary’. These duo were lords in Mushin prior to ACP Soji’s arrival. But today, the duos are cooling the heels in prison custody. Through due diligence and painstaking investigation, this indefatigable officer and his men were able to break the chain of fake
drug distribution in Lagos State by arresting the leader in Spy Police uniform and handed him over to NAFDAC; bust syndicate which specialized in vandalizing vital auto spare parts and selling them to
spar parts sellers in the popular Ladipo market. This is just a few of his modest achievements.
CSP Bisi Okuwobi,
DPO Ejigbo Division, Lagos.
ONE peculiar character that has remained Journalists’ delight and the darling of her bosses is Chief Superintendent of Police CSP Olabisi Oluseyi Okuwobi, the current Divisional Police Officer DPO Ejigbo Division Lagos. The reason is simple: this is one unique woman excelling in a man’s world. To the Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State born officer and public relations extra-ordinaire, gender is no barrier to excellence. Unlike other women DPOs who rely on their male Ops officers for most far reaching opearations, CSP Okuwobi personally leads operations, albeit self discomfitures. Most dreaded hideouts where notorious criminals reigned supreme; robbing and dispossessing hapless residents of their valuables including cash have been raided and the criminals arrested. Little wonder, residents of Ejigbo and the adjoining community where she currently serves were quick to remark that they have yet to witness any DPO and for that matter, a woman DPO that would equal CSP Okuwobi alias ‘Madam iron lady’ as she is wittingly called by admirers of her activities in the densely populated community. At first sight in mufti, one is bound to misconstrue her for a nurse or a care giver of some sort because of her sterling disposition embedded in her meek mien which readily betrays emotions; emotions of humility and service to humanity. And inside the Police uniform, the story is not any different as she radiates an unimaginable ambience totally non-existing in most women Police officers; relating to both her seniors and juniors on equal esteem.
Enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 2002 as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police ASP, young ‘Bisi’ (as she would wished called) perhaps, had one distinct belief about life itself that is organic to her entire behavioural attitude and that is, to use her position to better the lot of whoever crosses her path. Perhaps, that accounted to why her first posting was in the Police public relations unit. Girded in her loincloths to serve as the Police Public Relations officer PPRO Delta State Police Command, purposeful and focused ASP Olabisi (then) excelled in leaps and bounds and soon became the darlings of every Journalist. Her immediate boss now retired, DIG Udom Ekpo Udom, could spare everything to anybody but ASP Bisi; who he sees as a PRO of an inestimable value. It is therefore, not surprising that he went with her as his PRO wherever he was transferred to while in service. A detribalized and selfless lady with rare milk of humanity whose ideology bothers on fairness-“Do to others what you would others do unto you.” Aside doing the normal Police job of investigation and chasing after suspected criminals, this born crime fighter-cum public relations personality is a firm believer in education as a veritable tool to enhancing human development if well applied. Corollary, while her colleagues comforted themselves with just first degree, this graduate of English Language enrolled and got her Masters Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the nation’s Premier University; the University of Ibadan. She didn’t stop at that; she is currently running her PhD program in Diaspora and Transnational Studies in the same university of Ibadan.
Before her posting to Oyo State Police Command as PRO where she was ‘inherited’ by several Commissioners of Police for her unrivalled public relations, Bisi was Divisional Police Officer DPO Otu, Benue State Command and later Police Public Relations Officer of the same Command. She was at one time, the United Nations public information officer, Divisional Crime Officer, Challenge Division in Oyo State and was deployed to Lagos State where she held three positions-in-one as the Officer-in-Charge O/C, Business Development, Research and Public Relations Officer of the NPF Co-operative Multi-purpose Society. Until her recent elevation to the well deserved rank of Chief Superintendent of Police in June 2018, CSP Okwuobi held sway as the Divisional Crime Officer DCO of Ejigbo Division, a highly volatile community where she brought her prowess in public relations, human and material management to bare. It was said that the news of her elevation to the rank of a CSP was received in Ejigbo Division with mixed grill. Fearing that she may be redeployed following her elevation, while many celebrated with her some junior officer and her Divisional Police Officer (then) had prayed silently that she be retained as the DCO because of her outstanding traits. True to their entreaties to God, Bisi was retained in the Division not as DCO but DPO! Like a goldfish that has no hiding place in the waters, the multiple award winner’s membership of several national and international organizations was sought for and at the last check, she is a notable member of International Association of Chiefs of Police, National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives, National Association of Black Law Executives, International Association of Women Police and the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations; to mention but a few. She is also a proud recipient of the coveted United Nations Commendation Award of Excellence, Rotary Club of Oyo State Chapter Award for Outstanding performance and the highly prized NUJ Oyo Chapter’s Best PRO, South-west. No doubt, CSP Olabsi Oluseyi Okuwobi is one of the best deserving the crest that the Nigeria Police has molded.

ONE name dreaded and abhorred by miscreants and outlaws in Lagos State but loved by his employers is the Chairman of the Lagos Task Force on Environment and Miscellaneous Offences, CSP Saheed Olayinka Omokuleyin Aremu Egbeyemi. A dogged, resolute and intrepid crime buster, the ‘White Lion’ is one of the top cops that have and still entrenching sanity, virile and tranquil socio-economic transformation in the nation’s ‘Center of excellence’.
