A suspected human parts merchant is currently in the custody of the Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Onika Lagos. The suspect who sources said was an ex-convict and identified as Olufemi Goriola was arrested by detectives attached to the newly created Zonal Intervention Unit ZIU of the Zonal Commend following a tip-off that he had in his possession various mutilated parts of human being which he sells to his numerous nocturnal customers. Though it could not be immediately ascertained whether the suspect eats the parts as well but a Police sources said his arrest followed a revelation that he was a human parts merchant adding that he was notorious at Obada Oko, a community in Ogun State for the trade. The Zonal public relations officer, SP Dolapo Badmus who confirmed his arrest said, “ The suspect was arrested after the Command received an information that the suspect “an ex convict” deals in sales of human body parts upon the tip off the operatives trailed the suspect to Obada oko in Ogun State where he was arrested at about 2000hrs of July 13,2017. The suspect has confessed to be a dealer in the sales of human parts, while investigation revealed that he has been to prison twice over the same offence. The AIG in charge of Zone 2 Adamu Ibrahim has therefore, directed that the suspect be thoroughly investigated and charged to court.
