LAGOS-THE Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of CrimeWatch Newspaper, Ohi Akpengbe, has been appointed the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Ambassador Jonathan Ojadah Emmamuzo, the Global President of the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC).
The appointment was announced on August 9, 2024, during the conferment of an award as the “Grand Patron” of Nigeria MiniFootball (Spartan Eagles) Association on Ojadah, in Lagos.
Other special advisers appointed include: former Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Victor Olayiwola Owadogbon (retd) as S A on Security Affairs and Mr. Noble Eze Oluchukwu as the S A on Investment and Promotion.
Ohi, a former staff ThisDay newspapers where he cut his teeth in journalism profession expressed appreciation for the appointment gave the glory to God Almighty. He said, “I am so grateful to God for the appointment and I want say that I will not take it for granted. The Ambassador and I have worked together and have been good friends for the past 10 years. We have been in the media industry for the past 25 years, which gives me the requisite experience and knowledge to carry out my task. I want to say that he is not unaware of my tenacity to the tenets of journalism. With this, what I can assure is that the sky will be the starting point.”
