LAGOS- DETAINED Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate, His Royal Highness, Igwe Onataludikemna Nwajagu was yesterday arraigned in a rather kangaroo style at the Yaba Magistrate Court 2 by the Lagos State Government on a two count charge of conspiracy and conduct likely to cause breach of peace. The renowned Royal father who doubles as the Imperial Majesty Igwe Ibilibeogada of Isiagu Kingdom in Anambra State and Founder, National President of Nigeria and Diaspora at Igbo Global was deliberately refused Counsel to represent him at the court and denied bail after the charges were read to him. The resolute traditional ruler who rather looked pensive pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was promptly ordered to be remanded in Ikoyi Correctional Center till April 30, 2023 pending the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution DPP, Lagos State.
Igwe Onajagwu while in the duck betrayed emotions and waved to a few of his associates who were around and muttered: “They are just wasting their time, God is on the side of all Igbos in Lagos State and I know that same God will see me through.”

A combined team of Department of State Service DSS and the Police last week stormed Igwe Onajagwu’s Ajao Estate resident and had him arrested on allegation that he was agitating for a genuine cause of Igbo residents in Lagos and threatened in a viral video that if the Yoruba would not allow the Igbos peaceful rest of mind after the general elections, the Igbos would have no option that to invite members of the Independ People of Biafra IPOB to their rescue. He had been kept in Police custody at the State Criminal, Intelligence and Investigation Department SCIID Panti, Yaba and refused bail despite spirited efforts by prominent Nigerians to have him granted bail.

Contacted for comments, the State Police public relations officer, SP Ben Hundeyin said he could not say anything concerning Igwe Onajagwu’s arraignment adding that it was the state government that arraigned him. “I was not even aware of the arraignment, it was later that I got to know that he was arraigned. The Magistrate from what I was told, refused him bail and ordered that he be remanded in prison custody till April 30, 2023 pending DPP’s advice,” he quipped.
