LAGOS-RESIDENTS of Osun Egbado Estate off Lagos/Badagry Expressway are presently living in utter fear as a high prophile landgrabber popularly referred to as Baba Garba Owoeye and thugs including some policemen reportedly stormed the Estate on Saturday, kidnapped the Baale of the Estate and 5 other prominent Chiefs to a yet to be determined destination.
Sources said hundreds of residents of the Estate no longer sleep at night in the Estate for fear of being kidnapped. According to reports, at nightfall residents move to various adjoining Estates to return the next morning saying that Owoeye and thugs armed with dangerous weapons say the Estate belong to them.
Distraught women of the Estate Sunday, throng the streets and the Badagry expressway protesting the invasion, kidnap of their husbands while crying to the Commissioner of Police CP Sylvester Abiodun Alabi and the Governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to come to their rescue.
They claim that though Owoeye had taken their husbands to unknown place, his thugs armed with guns and other dangerous weapons are in the estate, shooting intermittently, harassing residents and snatching their GSM handsets.
In the video the mothers are crying helplessly and calling on both the Police chief of the state and governor to quickly get to Owoeye and call him to order to withdraw his thugs because according to them, he boasted that he was doing the bidding of the state government.
