KASTINA- IT was end of the road for a suspected notorious bandits who double as informants to his cohorts after Police detectives attached to the Kastina State Command beat to his game.
The first suspect identified as Auwal Aliyu aka Dankalli from the Kafi Paiko LGA had been on the wanted list of the Police adding that luck ran against him recently after he was trailed to a motor park and arrested.
The arrest of Auwal came even as another set notorious informants and ransom negotiators to bandits and kidnappers terrorizing the state and environs were arrested in the state. A statement by the Command police spokes person SP Gambo Isah made available to CrimeWorld magazine online quoted the Commissioner of Police CP Sanusi Buba as saying that the Command would continue to fight all manner of crimes and criminal in the state using all available manpower.
The PPRO said, “ On 07/09/2021 at about 1400hrs, the Command succeeded in arresting one Auwal Aliyu, alias “DANKALLI”, ‘M’, aged 32yrs of Kafi, Paiko LGA of Niger state, an indigene of Batsari LGA of Katsina state, a fugitive, a notorious bandit on the wanted list of the police and Batsari community for various crimes bordering on banditry. Nemesis caught up with the suspect when he was accosted in a motor park, at Kufi LGA trying to board a vehicle. In the course of investigation, six (6) SIM cards of various GSM network providers, a complete set of vigilante Uniform and ID card were recovered in his possession during police search. Investigation is ongoing.
Continuing, the Police image maker added, “Similarly, on the 7/9/2021 at about 1700hrs, the Command succeeded in arresting (1) Rabi’u Usman ‘m’ aged 35yrs (2) Sa’idu Shu’aibu ‘m’ aged 38yrs (3) Awwalu Abdullah ‘m’ aged 40yrs all of Wanzamai village, Tsafe LGA of Zamfara state, flouting the containment order emplaced by the state Government by conveying eighty (80) suspected rustled animals comprising Sheep and Goats in a Canter, Lorry with REG. NO. ABS 647 XA driven by one Aliyu Abubakar, ‘m’, aged 32yrs of Kurmin Mashi, Kaduna State. In the course of investigation, suspects confessed to the commission of the offence and further stated that they were conveying the animals to Abuja. Investigation is ongoing.”
