THE Police in Imo State have said that the suspected kidnappers of the Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri, Most Rev. Moses Chikwe had been arrested. Spokesperson for the Command, Orlando Ikechukwu in a telephone conversation said that the suspects were arrested in operations that was carried out in Imo and Anambra states on Tuesday. Describing the arrest as a big breakthrough for the command, Orlando added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Nosiru Mohammed would parade the suspects and parade the suspects before newsmen shortly. “Yes, it is true; we have arrested kidnappers of the kidnapped Auxiliary Bishop of Owerri Catholic Archdiocese, Moses Chikwe. They were arrested by the crack teams of the command in the different operations between Imo and Anambra states. The arrest is a big breakthrough for the command and my CP shall brief members of the press on the achievement when we parade them,” he said.
